It's Election Day in Atlanta and some other metro Atlanta municipalities; a state agency says the bus involved in a wreck which injured Morehouse students shouldn't have been on the roads; a local pastor is charged with impersonating an officer during a traffic stop. Plus, see a slideshow of two violent bank robbers the FBI's hunting on today's KISS News Now!

  • Turnout is expected to be light today as Atlanta voters head to the polls to select a new mayor. Polls in the city of Atlanta close at 8:00 tonight, and at 7:00 p.m. in other jurisdictions. Frontrunner Mary Norwood hopes to take the race outright, but more than one political analyst predict she and Kasim Reed, who got Mayor Franklin's endorsement last night, will meet in a December 1 runoff. Norwood's newest ad answers accusations that she's a closet Republican; she says she voted for Barack Obama. If Norwood wins the election, she'll become the first white mayor of Atlanta in nearly 40 years.

Several cities in Cobb and Gwinnett Counties hold elections today, too. On the national front, three races matter to Washington; Republicans are painting the Virginia and New Jersey governor's races and a special U .S. House race in New York as referendums on President Obama's first year.

  • An Iraqi man arrested in Atlanta for running down his own daughter with his car in Arizona will face even stiffer charges now that she's died. Relatives say Noor Alma-Leki's father felt she had become too Westernized; the 20-year-old had moved out and had started dating. Her father was arrested at Hartsfield-Jackson, trying to get out of the country.

  • Two men rob a SunTrust branch in a violent takeover-style robbery Monday morning, shooting a bank worker in the leg at the branch on Chamblee Tucker in DeKalb County. An FBI special agent says the crooks dragging him out of the office and shot him because they felt employees were not moving fast enough to suit them. The two suspects fled in a dark-colored minivan. • A local pastor is out on bond, charged with impersonating a police officer. The state patrol says Rev. Anthony McMichael, senior pastor at Mt. Nebo Baptist Church, handed over a Clayton County sheriff's badge and ID card signed by ex-Sheriff Victor Hill when he was pulled over for speeding last month. It wasn't until later the trooper, who'd let him go, learned he wasn't a cop. When deputies served a warrant on him last week, McMichael said Hill had given him the reserve deputy badge because he is a pastor.

  • Morehouse College marching band members injured in a charter bus wreck Saturday are learning they should never have boarded that bus. A spokesman for Georgia's Public Service Commission says the PSC in February sent a cease-and-desist order to Superior Transportation, because the company didn't have proper licenses or even insurance. Superior could be fined up to $15,000 for violating the order, plus up to $10,000 for each day the violation continued. Thirteen students were injured, two of them seriously.

  • In KISS news about your child's health: Toddlers who are plopped in front of the TV tend to act up, scream and hit more than kids who don't get as much TV time. A Tulane researcher says those three-year-olds who watched about three hours of television a day were doing less positive types of interaction like reading or playing. The effect was the same even if the TV was just on in the background.

  • Rihanna sits down for an interview with ABC's Diane Sawyer, who talks to her about her beating at the hands of Chris Brown. Clips will air on Good Morning America Thursday and Friday, with the bulk shown Friday night on 20/20.

  • The KISS 104.1 weather forecast: sunshine, and a high of 68.
