Gourmet Gents features fabulous culinary delights expertly prepared by celebrity chefs and those who boast of being super "gourmet chefs." Donned in chef hats and aprons, each cook is stationed at individual tables to display their culinary masterpieces and offer tasty samples amidst a backdrop made festive with music, entertainment and the fury of the affair. Nearly 300 Gents vie for the chance to win awards and prizes for the best main course, side dishes and desserts. First and Second place winners are selected by a distinguished slate of female judges who have the enviable task of sampling each delectable offering earlier in the day.

Event History:
More than 500 people attended the inaugural event, and the following year 150 chefs served the more than 700 guests who were there enjoying the festivities, food and entertainment. Since then Gourmet Gents has grown ever popular in its appeal to the community, attracting some 3,000 food tasters eager to sample the food offerings of more than 300 chefs and several of Atlanta's premier restaurants.

Men who participate in Gourmet Gents – business leaders, professionals, elected officials and local media personalities – are recruited by Coalition members to lend their time and talents to this worthy cause.

Gourmet Gents is a major fundraiser for the National Coalition of 100 Black Women. Proceeds from the event will benefit the organization's "Teens On The Move" program that provides mentoring for teenage girls
