Stacy D
Stacy D grew up in the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn, New York. At an early age he spent a lot of time listening to broadcasting legends such as Frankie Crocker, Hank Spann, The Dixie Drifter and Quiet Storm pioneer, Vaughn Harper. He then began to dream of a possible career in radio broadcasting. However before this dream would come to fruition Stacy D became an airman in the U.S. Air force where he served for four years before beginning his pursuit of his life long dream.

After Stacy D's duties were completed with the Air Force opportunity knocked in Cocoa, Florida at a new 20,000 watt Urban AC (Adult Contemporary) station. He worked the evening shift, making little money, but was determined to make himself a success in the radio industry. Shortly thereafter, Stacy soon got an offer at a Gospel station in Orlando, Florida. He also had a stint with a community talk show, which continues to interest him today.

Later Stacy D earned himself a spot at Star 94.5, where he found his niche in radio which was a romantic show called "Smooth Groove" which he later renamed the "Quiet Storm." The "Quiet Storm" featured Artists spotlights, "Love sets" as he affectionately calls them. Stacy D also had a special segment called "Bedtime Stories" which gained much recognition with both female and male listeners. Stacy D lived up to his childhood dreams of success by being called to the windy city of Chicago, working at WVAZ-FM and 93.9 LITE, after which he returned to Star 94.5 in 2001.

Stacy D is a 20 year radio veteran, with the last ten years hosting Quiet Storm type shows in major and medium markets like Chicago's WVAZ / VI03, Orlando's WCFB / Star 94.5 and presently hosts "Slow Jams" on Atlanta's Old School R&B Station, KISS 104.1. Stacy D has much to offer the Radio Broadcasting world and is in search of new challenges and endeavors everyday. His latest project, his very own syndicated show called the "Nite Flite". Stay tuned; don't touch your dial because Stacy D the man behind the voice has plans to come to a station near you very soon.
