Sisters and friends, you don’t have to suffer in silence. Your relief is in the information. Like most black women, I had one of the most common gynecological conditions that affect up nearly 80% of African-American women - uterine fibroids. This condition caused me to have heavy periods and cramps that would make you want to curl up with a heating pad until the pain stopped.
